Hanigan went 3-for-8 with Triple-A Louisville on his rehab assignment. Fantasy Tip: Devin Mesoraco's playing time will diminish and will limit his value to deep two-catcher formats and NL-only setups. Hanigan is more of a defensive-minded backstop, so he, too, should only be started in deeper leagues.

Fantasy Tip: Hanigan should return to the primary catching duties for Cincy when he returns, while splitting time with Devin Mesoraco. As a result, both backstops are most valuable in two-catcher of NL-only setups.

"(Miller) is catching Cingrani tonight because he knows Cingrani," manager Dusty Baker said. "(C Devin Mesoraco) had to call him to ask advice about how to catch Cingrani. Now we have the advice-giver in house." It was Miller's first big-league start since Sept. 29, 2010.

He's resting Hanigan Wednesday, April 10, because he's off to a 1-for-23 start on the season. Fantasy Tip: Devin Mesoraco is at least getting an opportunity to play on back-to-back days. It's too quick to say Baker is moving away from the reliable but unexciting (for fantasy purposes) Hanigan, but if Mesoraco acquits himself well at the dish, it's a solid opportunity to earn more at-bats for the balance of the early part of the season. Two-catcher mixed leaguers should take note.

It's unknown if Olivo will accept the deal. Fantasy Tip: Mesoraco is still developing as a young catcher and will play second fiddle to Ryan Hanigan. The power is intriguing, but he's nothing more than a weak No. 2 catcher until he earns more playing time.

"Mesoraco is getting better - receiving, throwing, hitting. There is a lot that a catcher has to think about," said manager Dusty Baker. "We'd like some more offensive output from our catchers, which we were accustomed to with Ramon Hernandez and Hanigan."
