Bumgarner is expected to need five rehab starts once he is deemed ready to compete and probably will not return to the Giants' rotation until late July at the earliest.

San Francisco Giants LHP Madison Bumgarner (ribs, shoulder) will be sidelined through the All-Star break with a Grade 2 sprain of the AC joint in his left shoulder, as well as bruised ribs. He will require two months of rehab before he is able to resume throwing a baseball, according to trainer Dave Groeschner.
