Baltimore Orioles SP Jake Arrieta, C Matt Wieters and OF Adam L. Jones are all off to good starts in 2012, and are receiving praise from scouts. Arrieta has a 0.85 WHIP and 2.66 ERA early on. "He's always had a really good arm," said one scout. "But now he's 93-96 (mph), with a plus curveball and a plus slider. And he's gotten very aggressive. He doesn't look like a young guy trying to figure it out anymore. He's really aggressive going after hitters." Wieters has a 1.054 OPS. "There's no question in my mind," said a second scout. "Matt Wieters is the best catcher in baseball." Jones already has five home runs and a 1.036 OPS. "Adam Jones," said another scout, "has really matured a lot."
