Tue, 17 Jan 2012 10:28:33 -0800 The Tampa Bay Rays avoided arbitration with SP David Price and OF B.J. Upton Tuesday, Jan. 17, by agreeing to one-year deals with both. Price will receive $4.35 million while Upton will make $7 million. RP Burke Badenhop also avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1.075 million deal. The team appears headed to arbitration with SP Jeff Niemann.

"It was more scary than anything else," Price said. "I feel fine."
