|Red Sox | David Price agrees with Boston|
Tue, 01 Dec 2015 14:06:56 -0800
Free-agent SP David Price (Blue Jays) agreed to a seven-year, $217 million deal with the Boston Red Sox Tuesday, Dec. 1, according to a source briefed on the negotiations. Price was 9-3 with a 2.30 ERA in 11 starts with the Toronto Blue Jays after being traded last year. He has thrown 1,299 1/3 innings in the last six seasons, which is the fourth-most in that time span, but he hasn't been on the disabled list since 2013. Price is 6-1 with a 1.95 ERA in 11 career starts at Fenway Park, the home of the Red Sox.
Fantasy Tip: The move for Price doesn't change his fantasy value all that much. The pitcher with the fourth-highest strikeout total in baseball last year will remain in the tough American League East division but moves out of one of baseball's best hitting environments. Price is an elite fantasy ace that will require an early round pick in drafts next spring.

|Red Sox | No rift between David Price, David Ortiz|

Fantasy Tip: Chemistry can make or break a team, and this would be big because the Red Sox had chemistry issues a few years back that sank the entire team. The Red Sox seem like the front-runner for Price, who will be one of the first pitchers off the board in single-league and mixed drafts.

|MLB | David Price's market healthy|
Wed, 25 Nov 2015 11:12:06 -0800
Free-agent SP David Price (Blue Jays) is being targeted by the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and Boston Red Sox, according to major league sources. Price is open to returning to the Toronto Blue Jays, but they are not expected to make a major run at him. Price values comfort with his teams, so the Cubs might be a good fit, as Price has ties to manager Joe Maddon. Price is unlikely to consider Boston one of his first choices.
Fantasy Tip: With such a big market in play for Price as one of the top free-agent starting arms, this isn't a situation that will unfold quickly. But wherever Price lands this winter, expect him to once again be highly coveted as a top arm in fantasy drafts next spring.

|Dodgers | LA wants Zack Greinke back|
Wed, 11 Nov 2015 10:46:45 -0800
The Los Angeles Dodgers top free-agent target is to bring SP Zack Greinke back, with free-agent SP David Price (Blue Jays) a close second. The odds are that the Dodgers will get one of them. The San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox will likely be their main competitors for those arms.
Fantasy Tip: Greinke and Price will have their fair share of suitors this offseason, and rightfully so. Greinke had the lowest ERA in all of baseball this year and is a favorite for the NL Cy Young award. No matter where these two aces land in free agency, they are sure to be two of the first few starting names off the board in fantasy drafts next year.

|Marlins | Miami not eyeing high-priced arms |
Mon, 02 Nov 2015 15:24:37 -0800
Fantasy Tip: The Miami starting rotation has minimal value after Jose Fernandez. Tom Koehler flashed upside at points last season, but he was too inconsistent to be started with confidence the majority of nights. Fernandez is the only arm to target on draft day in the majority of seasonal leagues next spring.

|Blue Jays | David Price expected to start Game 6|
Wed, 21 Oct 2015 17:25:41 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Price ($7,400, 14.8% of cap) is 1-2 with a 7.02 ERA through three postseason appearances this year, making him a shaky FantasyScore pitching option despite his regular season success. He allowed five runs on six hits in a loss to the Royals in Game 2 of the ALCS.

|Blue Jays | Toronto announces ALCS rotation|
Thu, 15 Oct 2015 14:31:02 -0700
Toronto Blue Jays SPs Marco Estrada, David Price, Marcus Stroman and R.A. Dickey will start Games 1 through 4 in the American League Championship Series against the Kansas City Royals, which begins Friday, Oct. 16.
Fantasy Tip: The Toronto rotation isn't a huge shock considering their usage of their starters in the American League Division Series. Estrada checks out a potential No. 2 pitcher option for FantasyScore contests, but you'll want to see the entire player pool before locking in your lineups.

|Blue Jays | David Price loses Game 1|
Thu, 08 Oct 2015 17:28:02 -0700
Fantasy Tip: For as dominant as Price ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) has been in the regular season throughout his career, his postseason numbers are shockingly bad. He is 1-6 with a 4.79 ERA through 11 career playoff games, including six starts. Price was pitching on 11 days' rest, so rust could have been a factor Thursday.

|Blue Jays | David Price winless in postseason|
Thu, 08 Oct 2015 09:51:10 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Price's ($8,500, 17.0% of cap) luck could change today with a high-scoring offense at his back at home, where he has pitched very well since being traded this summer. He's the most expensive pitcher on FantasyScore today, but he's worth paying up for against the Texas Rangers.

|Blue Jays | David Price will be well rested|
Tue, 06 Oct 2015 09:59:20 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Price ($9,600, 19.2% of cap) will be facing a very solid Texas ballclub in a hitter's environment, but the fact that he is well rested should make FantasyScore gamers more comfortable paying up with him. Price also has the majors' highest-scoring offense behind him.
