Atlanta Braves RP Jordan Walden's (groin) spot on the playoff roster is uncertain at this point because manager Fredi Gonzalez said Walden has not been right since returning from his groin injury. Walden has allowed five earned runs in 2 2/3 innings since he returned. He was scheduled to throw a bullpen session Thursday, Sept. 26, and could pitch an inning or two in an instructional league before the team decides on the roster.

I'm not sure where we're at as far as (time)."

Atlanta Braves RP Jordan Walden has allowed just one hit and two walks, with 11 strikeouts, in 11 1/3 scoreless innings (11 games) since returning from the DL. His .163 opponents' average is tied for second-best in the NL, behind Los Angeles Dodgers RP Paco Rodriguez. RP Luis Avilan has allowed just two hits and three walks, with nine strikeouts, in his last 15 appearances (12 2/3 frames).
Fantasy Tip: Perhaps Walden is aligning himself as the fill-in for Craig Kimbrel, should it ever come to that. The lefty Avilan might earn situational duty in that event.

The Atlanta Braves activated RP Jordan Walden (shoulder) from the 15-day disabled list Wednesday, May 29, and optioned RP Cory Rasmus to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Walden is 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA in 14 outings this year.
Fantasy Tip: The return of Walden is a welcome sight for the Bravos, who recently learned that both Jonny Venters and Eric O'Flaherty have been lost for the season. Walden will be expected to play a big role in setup duties before Craig Kimbrel. Should Kimbrel be injured, Walden would be a top candidate to replace him in the ninth inning.
