St. Louis Cardinals RP Jordan Walden (shoulder) experienced discomfort in his right shoulder Wednesday, March 30, and he will not be on the 25-man roster to open the season. Walden will be examined Friday, April 1, and Walden said it's the same discomfort and tightness that he felt earlier in camp.
Fantasy Tip: Walden had a nice spring and looked to be back to form, but he's not worth drafting at this point until more is known. If it's minor, he's worth consideration in NL-only leagues.

St. Louis Cardinals RP Jordan Walden (shoulder) is set to make his spring debut Friday, March 4, after missing most of 2015 with a shoulder injury.
Fantasy Tip: Walden is worth monitoring in fantasy. If anything happened to Trevor Rosenthal, he would be on the short list to replace him as closer.

Atlanta Braves RP Jordan Walden (hamstring) has been activated from the disabled list Tuesday, June 10. SP Alex Wood has been optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett to open a roster spot for Walden.
Fantasy Tip: Wood is a potential stash option in the deepest of mixed and NL-only leagues. He could return to the Braves rotation at some point this season as an injury replacement, or on his own merit. The demotion to Gwinnett is an opportunity to stretch Wood out and have him start, as opposed to pitching out of the bullpen.
