"The hand is good," Hilligoss said. "I've been down (in St. Louis) hitting and the strength is coming back. Hopefully, by the time I get to Spring Training it will be 100 percent."

Hilligoss' 38-game streak set a new South Atlantic League record and was the longest streak in the minor leagues since Orlando Moreno had a 43-game streak for Class AA Louisville in 1961.

Hilligoss is one more hit away from the longest hitting streak in the minors over the last two decades, when former IF Joey Cora hit safely in 37 straight games for Triple-A Las Vegas in 1989.
