Free-agent CB Travis Fisher (Seahawks) had a strong tryout with the Baltimore Ravens and could be signed to the roster as soon as this week, reports Aaron Wilson, of the National Football Post. Head coach John Harbaugh said, "He played well, he really looked good. Very solid player, good feet, good technician, works really hard, understands the game. Really picked the defense up quickly, and we threw a lot at him. Travis did a nice job."

Updating a previous item, Nicholas J. Cotsonika, of the Detroit Free Press, reports free-agent CB Travis Fisher (Lions) was apparently released from the team Thursday, April 30, to free up salary cap space for the team. Fisher said, "They just told me that they were just releasing me to free some money up, but it's not like they were paying me $4 million anyway. I think it's kind of a bogus excuse, but it's just a situation where I guess they wanted to go another way."

The Associated Press reports Detroit Lions CB Travis Fisher said he likes the team's chances of defeating the Green Bay Packers in Week 17 and was surprisingly confident. "I think we're going to shock a lot of people with a great game. I feel like we're going to win," Fisher said. "Not to take anything away from Green Bay, but we're a great football team. I know the record doesn't show it, but I'm going to say it."
