Updating previous reports, Norm Frauenheim, of the Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals will activate C Frank Garcia for this week's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Cardinals, who received a roster exemption for Garcia, will not have to use it as they announced that C Jason Starkey will be placed on injured reserve.

Tim Tyers, of the Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals C Frank Garcia, who was suspended the first four games of the season for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, will be allowed to return to the Cardinals' practice this week. The league has also granted the team a waiver, which will allow Garcia to rejoin the team without forcing the team to trim a player from the roster. However, if Garcia is activated for this week's game against the Dallas Cowboys, a roster move will have to be made.

Mike Jurecki, of KDUS Sports Radio in Phoenix, reports Arizona Cardinals C Frank Garcia has been suspended after testing positive for ephedra. He'll miss the first four games of the season after losing his appeal to the league on the matter.
