Updating a previous report, Mike Kahn, of Seahawks.com, reports Seattle Seahawks WR Alex Bannister (clavicle) injured his right clavicle during Week 2 and will have x-rays again Monday, Sept. 19, after the initial x-rays came back inconclusive. "I don't think it's more than a bruise," Bannister said. "At least I hope not." Bannister has broken that specific bone twice in the past year.

It's safe to say more than a couple of good Seahawks receivers will be looking for employment elsewhere come the end of this month. It appears only starting WRs Darrell Jackson and Bobby Engram along with WR/KR Alex Bannister have spots wrapped up. That leaves eight players competing for three spots.

He was taken into the locker room favoring his right arm, and head coach Mike Holmgren was concerned that it might be the same injury he sustained last season when missed the final nine games of 2004 with a broken right clavicle. "I don't want to speculate right now," Holmgren said. "But it reacted the same way it did the first time. I hope it's not that, but if it is, he'll be out for a while and we'll probably have him back near the end of training camp."
