The Seattle Times reports the Seattle Seahawks are attending the Senior Bowl practices this week and also preparing their list for the upcoming NFL expansion draft. The Seahawks have 41 eligible players and will most likely expose DE Michael Sinclair and his $3.8 million base 2002 base salary. Other Seahawks who may be included on the expansion-draft list include CB Paul Miranda, FS Maurice Kelly and WR Fabien Bownes.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports SS Kerry Joseph is expected to be signed by the Seattle Seahawks today because of injuries to free safeties Marcus Robertson (pulled hamstring) and Maurice Kelly (dislocated toes). Joseph started 10 games at strong safety for the Seahawks last year.

S Marcus Robertson (hamstring) will try to practice Wednesday. If he cannot play again this week, the team would go with rookie S Curtis Fuller.

Percy Allen reports for the Seattle Times, as an update to a previous story, Seattle Seahawks S Maurice Kelly will undergo surgery to repair three toes that he dislocated during Sunday's game. He'll miss at least six weeks. Starter Marcus Robertson, who has missed the past three games at safety because of a left hamstring pull, will attempt to practice tomorrow. If Robertson can't play this week, rookie Curtis Fuller would get the start. The Seahawks may also attempt to sign a player.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports the Seattle Seahawks apparently only suffered one injury during last night's game, FS Maurice Kelly suffered a foot injury. The injury is of concern to the team because Kelly has been filling in for the injured Marcus Robertson (hamstring).

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren, according to ESPN's John Clayton, doesn't believe S Marcus Robertson (hamstring) will be able to play again this weekend. Maurice Kelly would get his second start if Robertson is held out. KR/WR Charlie Rogers (toe) was limited again in practice but should be able to play.

Updating an earlier story, the AP reports the Seattle Seahawks will replace OT Chris McIntosh in the starting lineup with Todd Weiner. Weiner is 3-0 as a starter this season, while McIntosh is 0-3. Also, for the second straight week, FS Maurice Kelly is expected to start in place of the injured Marcus Robertson (hamstring).

As an update to previous reports, Seattle Seahawks LB Levon Kirkland will receive base salaries of $1.4 million (2001), $1.8 million (2002) and $2 million (2003). DE Jeremy Staat's two-year deal will pay him $418,000 (2001) and $650,000 (2002) in base salaries. S Maurice Kelly's one-year deal is worth $298,000 and OL J.P. Darche's two-year, will pay him base salaries of $298,000 (2001) and $389,000 (2002).

The Daily Herald reports S Jay Bellamy is looking forward to joining the New Orleans Saints. "Anytime you can join a team that's already tenth in the NFL (defensively) as opposed to being 30th, you've got to be excited about that," Bellamy said. Although the Seahawks had made an offer to Bellamy, they were looking to upgrade their speed at the free safety position. Seattle now has only two safeties, Reggie Tongue and Maurice Kelly, under contract. S Kerry Joseph started the final 10 games at strong safety last season, but he is also a free agent. His agent, Jordan Feagan, said he has had no contact from the team. Free agent safeties Marcus Robertson (Tennessee) and Brock Marion (Miami) have visited the Seahawks and remain unsigned.

According to their offcial site, the Seattle Seahawks have made tender offers to TE Itula Mili, long snapper Jean-Philippe Darche, TE Rufus French and Maurice Kelly. Mili is a resticted free agent, while the other three are exclusive-rights free agents. Seattle has yet to offer tenders to their other restricted free agents, LB DeShone Myles and OG Chad Overhauser. One exclusive-rights free agent, DE Rahmaan Streater has not yet been tendered.
