NFL | Team unlikely to sign S. Alexander soon

Bucky Brooks, of SI.com, reports free-agent RB Shaun Alexander (Seahawks) is unlikely to sign with a team until after training camps are under way. Alexander is viewed throughout the league as a "stop-gap" solution for a team that suffers from a catastrophic injury or has a roster full of underperforming backs during the preseason.

Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com, reports free-agent RB Shaun Alexander (Seahawks) is not on the Denver Broncos' radar, according to a team source, although the notion is not 100 percent dead at this point. The team considered bringing in Alexander for a visit but backed off the idea. The team likely won't consider Alexander unless there is an injury to their backfield.
