"I wanted to start, sure, but more than anything, I wanted to win a Super Bowl," Hasselbeck said. "That was my first priority. When it came down to it, that's what I wanted most. And that's why I'm here."

Updating a previous report, the Indianapolis Colts agreed to terms with free-agent QB Matt Hasselbeck (Titans) on a two-year contract Monday, March 18. Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Fantasy Tip: Hasselbeck comes aboard as the understudy to second-year QB Andrew Luck. Unless disaster strikes in Indianapolis, Hasselbeck is not expected to see much, if any, game time.

Updating a previous report, the Tennessee Titans released Matt Hasselbeck Monday, Mar. 18, because the two sides could not agree on a restructured contract. Hasselbeck was scheduled to make $5.5 million in 2013.
Fantasy Tip: It is fair to speculate that both the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be interested in Hasselbeck, as both teams are looking to upgrade their quarterback depth.

Tennessee Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck said he is willing to renegotiate his contract this summer to stay in Tennessee. "I would definitely be up for that, for sure," Hasselbeck said Wednesday about the possibility of renegotiating his deal. "I'm not in those conversations, but I'm aware of them. That topic came up maybe in September, October, November (of 2012), somewhere in there. I would be excited about the opportunity because it would be basically having the opportunity to stay. But again, there's so much that goes into those things. But from my perspective, yeah, absolutely."
