NFL | Underclassmen quarterbacks are risky
Sat, 21 Feb 2009 04:51:26 -0800 Adam Schefter, of NFL.com, reports there have been 15 underclassmen quarterbacks selected in the first round of the NFL Draft since 1990, when underclassmen first became eligible to be drafted after being only three years removed from high school instead of four. Of those 15, only five have been selected to a Pro Bowl - QB Vince Young, QB Ben Roethlisberger, QB Michael Vick, QB Trent Dilfer and QB Drew Bledsoe.

"No. There's no shelf life. Not if you handle it correctly," Dilfer said. "Which Aaron has done. In fact, I would say Aaron is the model for how you handle it. It's funny, the two guys that I have seen handle it the best have come from Green Bay."
