The Cincinnati Bengals did not send a tender offer to RB Dan Burks Thursday, Feb. 28. Burks is a second-year player who spent the 2007 season on the team's Reserve/Injured list. He will be eligible to negotiate with any NFL team Friday, Feb. 29, when the veteran's free agency signing period begins.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Monday, May 21, that they have signed undrafted free-agent RB Dan Burks (Alabama-Birmingham) to a one-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Alabama-Birmingham RB Dan Burks measured a height of 5-foot-11 5/8 and a weight of 218 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.52 seconds and 4.53 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.15 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.72 seconds. He measured a 36 1/2-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-5 broad jump and completed 21 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
