The Carolina Panthers have released DE Jyles Tucker after he left the team. General manager Marty Hurney said Tucker was not comfortable at reporting at 228 pounds and wants a chance to gain some of the weight back.

San Diego Chargers LB Jyles Tucker (not injury related) did not practice for a second consecutive day Thursday, Sept. 23. LB Stephen Cooper (knee) and CB Quentin Jammer (foot) were both limited during workouts. It was the second consecutive day Cooper wasn't full speed, while Jammer was a new addition to the team's injury report.
