Arizona Cardinals C Lyle Sendlein has restructured his contract to help the team's salary cap. Roughly $1.7 million of Sendlein's $2.4 million salary this year has been converted to a signing bonus, allowing the team to spread the cap cost over the remaining four seasons. Sendlein's cap number decreased from $3.25 million to $1.975 million.

Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals C Lyle Sendlein played for most of the 2008 season with a torn left labrum. Sendlein suffered the injury during the team's fourth game, yet never missed a start. "I can't really use that as an excuse," Sendlein said. "It was definitely there, but it's part of the game, especially in offensive line play. I can't let a little shoulder get me off the field."

Cardinals | Calling all centers

The Associated Press reports the Arizona Cardinals are calling all centers after losing starter Al Johnson (knee) and backup Scott Peters (knee) back-to-back. The team hopes to have Johnson back for the start of the season but Peters is out for the year after being placed on Injured Reserve. With the two injured, OL Lyle Sendlein is the only other player with experience at center on roster and he is just in his second season.
