According to Brian Davis of Seahawks.com, Seattle Seahawks OT Chris McIntosh (neck) has been excused from practice due to persistent neck problems that hold his career in jeopardy. Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren is trying to remain patient with McIntosh's situation. "We're hoping for a miracle," he said. "We're going to give him all the time that we can." The team will determine his future when training camp begins in July.

The Seattle Times reports Seattle Seahawks OT Chris McIntosh (neck stinger) said his injury would be reevaluated in the spring. Until then, he cannot practice with the team in contact drills. He missed the entire 2002 season.

According to the Associated Press, Seattle Seahawks OT Chris McIntosh (neck) remains OUT indefinitely. Coach Mike Holmgren talked with the specialist who operated on McIntosh in January and said the discussion provided no clues about the injury. "There is not going to be any more surgery," Holmgren said. "He tweaked it again, so we have to let it calm down. And I have no idea how long that is going to be." McIntosh can run and lift weights, but he won't participate in contact drills until the numbness and burning goes away.
