Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin said he will decide who starts at quarterback for the team following comments made by owner Stephen Ross, who suggested QB Matt Moore will start. "I know he's the owner, but he might not sign my check, the treasurer does," Philbin said. "But last time I checked, he's on board. We've been very up front with him, that we want a competitive situation at that position."

Miami Dolphins QB Matt Moore said he is looking for a fair shot to compete for the team's starting quarterback job in 2012 after the team signed QB David Garrard this offseason. "I was fully expecting a quarterback competiton. I still am," Moore said. "I get it, I understand and in any case as a player you just want a fair shot to show your talent and prove to the coaches you can win or lead this team to win. That's all I was hoping for, and I think that's the situation we have here."
