J.P. Pelzman, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Jets have signed undrafted free-agent Virginia Tech FB Jesse Allen (Virginia Tech). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Virginia Tech FB Jesse Allen measured a height of 6-foot 3/8 and a weight of 248 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash twice in 4.84 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.27 seconds and the three-cone drill 7.28 seconds. He measured a 28 1/2-inch vertical jump, an 8-foot-9 broad jump and completed 28 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press.
