Cincinnati Bengals C Kyle Cook (ankle) is eligible to begin practicing but does not appear close to returning from ankle surgery he had around two months ago. He is still in a walking boot and is using one crutch to get around. He is eligible to come off the Injured Reserve list Week 9 but he will not be ready for that game.

The Cincinnati Bengals placed C Kyle Cook (ankle) on Injured Reserve designated to return later this season. The Bengals also signed TE Richard Quinn (Redskins) Tuesday, Sept. 4. Terms were not disclosed. The team also released TE Bryce Davis from the practice squad.
