|Texans | Houston offered Pierre Thomas minimum|
Thu, 13 Aug 2015 06:26:07 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Thomas would have been a good fit, but he didn't want to sign for the veteran's minimum. He's worth watching for a late RB5 flyer in fantasy drafts.

|Texans | Pierre Thomas will not join Houston|
Wed, 05 Aug 2015 09:40:36 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Thomas was expected to sign with the Texans, but he will look to join another team. He probably will not be able to find a starting job, which will hurt his fantasy value. Alfred Blue is the Texans' top running back at the moment and could be a middle- to late-round option if he keeps the job, but the team is expected to acquire another running back.

|Texans | Pierre Thomas to sign with Houston|
Wed, 05 Aug 2015 08:26:19 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Thomas is an accomplished receiver out of the backfield and could rise up the depth chart in camp to share work with Alfred Blue. He turns 31 in December, so the upside is limited, but he's worth a low-end RB4 grab.

|Texans | Pierre Thomas to work out Wednesday|
Tue, 04 Aug 2015 15:49:37 -0700
Fantasy Tip: Thomas had his worst statistical season since 2010 last year, although he was limited to just 11 games. Thomas will help fill in for Arian Foster in the passing game in Houston, and he'll be a worthy flier late in standard drafts, with more value in PPR leagues.

|NFL | Pierre Thomas' hands among the best|
Sun, 19 Jul 2015 19:35:20 -0700
Free-agent RB Pierre Thomas (Saints) ranked seventh among running backs with 45 catches last season, and only Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell and Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy graded higher at catching the ball, according to ProFootballFocus.com.
Fantasy Tip: Thomas' fantasy value is currently in limbo, but if he lands with a team that needs a reliable third-down back, he could be worth a late-round flier in PPR leagues.

|Redskins | Washington looking at Pierre Thomas|
Thu, 02 Apr 2015 10:09:58 -0700
Free-agent RB Pierre Thomas (Saints) has drawn some interest from the Washington Redskins as they look to give competition to RBs Chris Thompson and Silas Redd for the third-down role, according to a source. However, Washington will likely see what's available in the draft before proceeding with Thomas. Among the options the Redskins could look at in the draft are Nebraska RB Ameer Abdullah, Northern Iowa RB David Johnson, Miami (Fla.) RB Duke Johnson, South Carolina RB Mike Davis and Alabama RB T.J. Yeldon.
Fantasy Tip: Thomas could be an intriguing fantasy option if he lands with the Redskins, because the team plans to utilize the ground game often. However, his value would be clouded if Thompson took valuable third-down touches away. Stay tuned on where Thomas lands in free agency.

|Saints | Three RBs on Saints' roster|
Wed, 04 Mar 2015 16:29:11 -0800
Updating a previous report, free-agent RB Pierre Thomas' (Saints) release by the New Orleans Saints Wednesday, March 4, will save $1.735 million against the salary cap, and he carries an $830,000 "dead money" charge. Thomas would have counted $2.565 million against the salary cap this year. The Saints currently have three running backs on roster: RBs Khiry Robinson, Edwin Baker and Tim Hightower. RBs Travaris Cadet and Mark Ingram are both scheduled to be free agents.
Fantasy Tip: The release of PT cruiser isn't unexpected, since his role had quickly diminished over the last couple of seasons. If Ingram isn't re-signed, Robinson will have a clear path to the lead-back duties in New Orleans. And in an offense as potent as this, that'll make him very intriguing to fantasy football owners. Robinson could head into 2015 as a low-end RB1.

|Saints | Pierre Thomas released |
Wed, 04 Mar 2015 15:47:40 -0800
Fantasy Tip: If impending free-agent RB Mark Ingram leaves, Khiry Robinson should take the reins as the Saints' primary running back and could garner RB2 consideration in standard scoring formats. Robinson played in just 10 games in 2014 but was productive when he did, averaging 4.8 yards on 76 carries with three touchdowns in a time split with Ingram and Thomas.

|Saints | Pierre Thomas placed on IR|
Fri, 26 Dec 2014 11:55:39 -0800
Fantasy Tip: With Thomas gone for the year, Mark Ingram should get more work in Week 17, and is a decent starting option for FantasyScore players this week.

|Saints | Pierre Thomas sits out|
Thu, 25 Dec 2014 16:37:01 -0800
Fantasy Tip: It does not look like Thomas will be able to play in Week 17, but owners should monitor the situation to see if things change. Mark Ingram could receive more playing time if Thomas misses the game and could be a good starting option at FantasyScore.
