The NFL has announced former NFL RB Emmitt Smith, WR Jerry Rice, OL Russ Grimm, LB Rickey Jackson, DL John Randle, RB Floyd Little and DB Dick LeBeau have been named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2010.

Vikings.com reports the Minnesota Vikings announced former Vikings DL John Randle will become the newest member of the Vikings Ring of Honor. He will be inducted during halftime Nov. 30.

Updating previous reports, Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports DE John Randle has retired from the NFL after 14 seasons. Randle, who finishes his career with 137.5 sacks, spent 11 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings and three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Seattle Seahawks DL John Randle has told team officials he will retire after 14 seasons in the NFL. Randle, who has 137.5 career sacks, was entering the fourth year of a five-year $25 million contract.

Seattle Seahawks DT Rocky Bernard has not done much in the reserve role behind DT John Randle. Bernard had four sacks in September as a rookie last year, but he isn't getting that kind of push this season and needs to pick up his play.
