Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Kansas City Chiefs LS Jean-Philippe Darche agreed to a four-year deal with the team. The deal included a $200,000 signing bonus, a $25,000 reporting bonus and annual workout bonuses of $25,000 in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports the Seattle Seahawks have informed LS Jean-Philippe Darche that he will not be retained for next season. "They have made no effort to re-sign J.P.," Darche's agent John Drana said. "They called J.P. in and told him they were going in another direction, and this will lead to J.P. being an unrestricted free agent."

The National Post reports Randy Chevrier, a 24-year-old defensive lineman and long-snapper from McGill University in Canada, had a workout with the Indianapolis Colts last week. During the off-season, he survived being stabbed in a bar fight at a bar where he was working as a bouncer. Chevrier is a 6-foot-2, 290-pound player who is hoping to follow former college teammate Jean-Philippe Darche (Seattle) to the NFL. He also hopes to possibly be drafted at the NFL Draft in April.
