Edgar Thompson and Ben Volin, of the Palm Beach Post, report Miami Dolphins rookie WR Michael Malone made a highlight-reel catch during practice at the team's indoor facility Sunday, Aug. 19. He jumped over and wrestled a pass away from rookie CB Geoff Pope to make a reception. Malone is thought to be outperforming many of the team's other rookie wideouts in camp.

Keven Lerner, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins have signed undrafted free-agent WR Michael Malone (Sam Houston State), according to the university's web site.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Sam Houston State WR Michael Malone measured a height of 6-2 7/8 and a weight of 208 pounds at his Pro Day March 6. He ran the 40-yard dash twice in 4.56 seconds. He measured a 36-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-11 broad jump.
