Trans World News reports former NFL WR Curtis Conway and his wife, Laila Ali, are expecting their first child. Ali, the daughter of former boxer Muhammad Ali, confirmed her pregnancy to Essence magazine. Conway and Ali were married last July in front of 200 guests. This will be Conway's fourth child and Ali's first. Conway has twin sons and a daughter from a previous relationship.

RB Neal Anderson accomplished the feat four times (12 in 1988, 15 in '89, 13 in '90 and 11 in '92) and WR Curtis Conway (12 in '95), RB Rashaan Salaam (10 in '95) and RB Raymont Harris (10 in '97) each did it once.

Associated Press reports San Francisco 49ers general manager Terry Donahue said the addition of WR Curtis Conway "brings a lot of experience" to the 49ers. Conway has 556 receptions, 7,827 yards and 49 TDs during his 11-year career to go along with three 1,000-yard receiving seasons. Edwards added that it's just a protective measure and it was his call not to let him participate. Butler replied, "I’ll tell you, we were going year by year by year with Curtis to see how things were going. He’s going into the last year of (his contract). Let’s just say that we offered him an excellent amount of money in my opinion for one year, which was ($1.9 million), with a chance to go to $3 million with incentives. Those incentives were for what his job is; catching the football. He could have been right up to $3 million again.
