Indianapolis Colts SS Melvin Bullitt could be released by the team. Bullitt, who has played just six games over the last two seasons, is set to make $2.4 million in 2012 and $2.695 million in 2013.

Indianapolis Colts LB Kavell Conner led the team with 10 combined tackles in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, posting four solo stops and six assists with a forced fumble. CB Jacob Lacey and SS Melvin Bullitt combined for nine tackles, while LB Pat Angerer and FS Antoine Bethea each had three solo tackles and five assists. Angerer also had a forced fumble, while Bethea was credited with a recovery.

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent SS Melvin Bullitt (shoulder) said he's 100 percent recovered from shoulder surgery, during which a screw was inserted in the shoulder. Bullitt added he would like to re-sign with the team. "I'm probably the strongest I've been in two years," Bullitt said. "I want to play in Indy again. That's what I'm planning on. But the reality is I'm not signed with anyone."

Indianapolis Colts impending free-agent SS Melvin Bullitt said he could not see himself re-signing with the team unless he receives a long-term deal, reports Mike Chappell, of The Indianapolis Star. "I can't see myself coming back (to the Colts) other than with a long-term contract. Just to be quite honest, it's business. If I have to go and test free agency, that's what I'll do. But I'd love nothing more than to run out as No. 33 with the horseshoe on," Bullitt said.
