Michael Eisen, of Giants.com, reports the New York Giants have signed free agent OT Edward Ellis (Chargers) to a contract. Terms of the deal were undisclosed. Ellis has previously played for New England, Washington and San Diego during his eight-year career.

San Diego Chargers OT Damion McIntosh (ankle) has been ruled OUT of the Chargers' Week 17 game against the Oakland Raiders after re-aggravating an ankle injury in Sunday's, Dec. 21, loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. OT Edward Ellis will start in McIntosh's absence.
