Wed, 15 May 2013 19:26:21 -0700 Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones reiterated Wednesday, May 15, that the team wants to keep OT Doug Free, but the team would like to reduce his salary. He is due to make $7 million in 2013, and he struggled during the 2012 season. "I think we're on the same page with (Free and his agent), as far as timing," Jones said. "We're positive. Hopefully he's positive and we're trying to work through it all. I don't want to speculate. We're working on getting it worked out with Free."

"I'd like to keep him," Jones said. "We think that Doug Free can be an important part of the team. He's been here. We know him.
