Matt Winkeljohn, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons LB Sam Rogers (knee, IR), in the final year of his contract, said he would be interested in returning next season if interim head coach Wade Phillips was named the new head coach. He's not sure otherwise.

KFFL has learned Atlanta Falcons LB Sam Rogers (knee) will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday, Oct. 15. Rogers as been out of the lineup since injuring his knee Sept. 21, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a best case scenario, Rogers could return by Nov. 2, at worst he is lost for the season.
