Kansas City Chiefs WR Steve Breaston had just one reception for nine yards in Week 17 against the Denver Broncos in the regular season finale. He ended with 61 receptions and 785 yards, which were each his best totals since he had a career-high 77 grabs for 1,006 yards in 2008, then with the Arizona Cardinals.

Kansas City Chiefs WR Steve Breaston managed 44 yards on four receptions in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had another long catch nullified by a penalty, and he also had another moderate gain wiped out as he was juggling the ball out of bounds in the fourth quarter.

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said rookie WR Jonathan Baldwin could occupy the slot position in the offense for the time being. Baldwin played some slot in his debut in Week 7. "Steve Breaston and Dwayne Bowe are playing at a very high level right now," Haley said. "They're making good progress every week and I surely don't want to disrupt them a whole bunch and start moving them around."

Kansas City Chiefs WR Steve Breaston, who had just three catches for 33 yards in the team's first two games, has 11 grabs for 196 yards and two touchdowns in the team's last three contests. He admits that he has gained some chemistry with QB Matt Cassel. "It's always about developing that trust with your quarterback," Breaston said. "It doesn't just happen overnight. I'm the new guy here. Coach Haley knows me, but not everybody else does. I just think it's a matter of me continuing to be a reliable option for Matt."

Kansas City Chiefs WR Steve Breaston posted 91 yards receiving on four catches in Week 4, his highest yardage total since Nov. 21, when he was with the Arizona Cardinals playing against the Chiefs. "I'm so excited we won," Breaston said. "Just being out there and contributing, that's the big thing with me. I just want to help the team out."
