"He's a very talented running back and he's from Virginia. Two Virginia guys in this running back corps is going to be dangerous. I expect to use him as my project to get him better, to get him smarter and just to mature him a little bit, just to help him understand the NFL," Bradshaw said.

He had bone marrow taken from his hip and injected into his foot to help it heal faster. Normal recovery time is three months, but he expects to be full go in training camp. "I probably can (run now) but I am not going to try for two or three months more," Bradshaw added. "I just want to rest as much as I can. By the time training camp comes, I want to practice every week and start the season off right." Bradshaw is looking forward to having more carries in 2012 with Brandon Jacobs out of the picture.

After RB Ahmad Bradshaw, they have RBs Danny Ware and Da'Rel Scott on the roster. Brown was expected to have a chance to compete for the No. 2 job, replacing the departed RB Brandon Jacobs (49ers). The team is now likely to have to draft a running back, or sign a cheap option via free agency.
