Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw has been consistent so far in camp, and he's not showing any limitations with his neck, which caused him to miss the final 13 games of last season. "He looks fantastic," head coach Chuck Pagano said. "He has found the groove to make it. We know how tough Ahmad is. We know how he's wired, so I'm not going to be pulling back on the reins. He's one of those guys we have to protect them from themselves. It will take care of itself. He's not one of those guys that will think about what he went through."
Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw is an interesting fantasy option. He's extremely risky because of his health, but if he enters the season fully healthy and Trent Richardson continues to be bothered by injuries or poor performance, Bradshaw could easily usurp him as the top back for the Colts. Bradshaw's stock is slowly rising right now.

Indianapolis Colts RB Vick Ballard (Achilles') suffered a torn Achilles' tendon during practice Friday, July 25.
Fantasy Tip: Ballard likely will miss the entire season because of the injury. Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw probably will get a majority of the reps at the position unless the team adds another back. Richardson should be considered a starting running back in all fantasy leagues, while Bradshaw probably would be a later-round pick that could be a No. 4 or 5 running back on a team.

Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) has been cleared to practice.
Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw is an RB4, but he could be worth more if Trent Richardson fails to produce again.

Indianapolis Colts RB Trent Richardson will need to produce right away in the running game if he wants to keep the starting job, because the team will not wait for him to turn things around if RB Ahmad Bradshaw or Vick Ballard are playing well.
Fantasy Tip: Richardson is getting the first chance to start, but he could find himself on the bench if he fails to produce. Richardson should be considered a low-end No. 2 running back in drafts this season. Owners could consider taking a late-round flier on Bradshaw or Ballard since there is a chance they could take over the starting job if Richardson falters, but it is not known which back would have more value at this point.

Indianapolis Colts RB Trent Richardson will be given the first shot at starting running back. He is more talented than RBs Ahmad Bradshaw and Vick Ballard, and the Colts don't want to show that their trade for him last September was a failure.
Fantasy Tip: Due to Richardson's poor 2013 season, he stands to reward nicely as an RB2. Bradshaw and Ballard are late-round fliers.

Indianapolis Colts RBs Trent Richardson and Ahmad Bradshaw wore red non-contact jerseys during organized team activities as they compete for the team's starting running back role. That battle is expected to intensify during training camp, but both will see playing time, no matter who is the official starter. Head coach Chuck Pagano has stated he wants a workhorse running back, however.
Fantasy Tip: Our money would be on Richardson to be that workhorse for the Colts. Bradshaw and Vick Ballard are coming off injuries and Richardson needs this season to prove he wasn't a trade bust. If the Colts continue to use Richardson in the passing game the way they did later on in the 2013 season, he should be a safe PPR RB3 with RB2 potential. It's best to use more caution with Bradshaw, who is currently listed as the team's No. 3 running back.

Thu, 24 Apr 2014 11:07:43 -0700
Indianapolis Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) said he is feeling great six months after having surgery for a neck issue. "I'm six months after surgery. I feel great," Bradshaw said. "Getting stronger. I'm just glad to be back here and be a part of this team."

The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed unrestricted free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw (Colts) to a one-year deal. The financial terms have not been disclosed.
Fantasy Tip: Bradshaw has marginal fantasy football value, largely because of his extensive injury history. Monitor his expected involvement going forward, but consider him no better than a flier on draft day.
