Bears | GM gives Lovie Smith vote of confidence

Fri, 19 Nov 2010 07:41:02 -0800

Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo said head coach Lovie Smith is a great leader for the team, and believes the criticism he has received is unfair, according to Dan Pompei, of the Chicago Tribune. "He always has been a great leader for us," Angelo said. "I keep going back to that adversity, those thorns. He continues to create hope and the guys rally around Lovie. You can't minimize that and he doesn't get enough credit for that."
