New York Jets head strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi resigned Monday, Jan. 31. The announcement was made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum. "After speaking with Sal, he decided that it is best for him to tender his resignation at this time," Tannenbaum said.

The New York Jets have suspended strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi for the rest of the regular season and postseason without pay and fined him $25,000 for tripping Miami Dolphins CB Nolan Carroll in Week 14, according to Manish Mehta, of the New York Daily News.

Randy Lange, of the Bergen Record, reports the New York Jets have hired Sal Alosi to be the team's strength and conditioning coach. Alosi served as the Atlanta Falcons head strength coach last season, and was also the Jets' assistant strength coach from 2002-05.
