Steve Wyche, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank suffered a slightly torn rotator cuff Friday, Aug. 4, when FB Fred McCrary inadvertently ran into him. Blank will not need surgery but will have to go through some form of rehabilitation.

Atlanta Falcons FB Fred McCrary completed his second internship with the NFL's officiating department during NFL Europe training camp in Tampa, Florida last month, according to Michael Oldham of AtlantaFalcons.com. McCrary got his first taste of officiating last offseason, as a member of the New England Patriots, and says it is something he wants to do when his career is over. "I called the league office and told them I wanted to do an internship through it," McCrary said. "They've got coaching internships and referee internships. So I didn't want to be a coach and this is a way for me to stay in the game and see what it's like from the other side."
