Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans WR Chris C. Davis was arrested Friday, Aug. 21, and has been charged with drunken driving. He registered a 0.11 percent blood alcohol level and the legal limit in Tennessee is 0.08 percent.

Gary Estwick, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans WRs Chris C. Davis, Paul Williams (hamstring, groin) and Lavelle Hawkins need to pick up their game and continue showing improvement or they could be on the bubble with the team. Williams has been slowed by a hamstring injury, while Hawkins and Davis have looked better during training camp.

Gary Estwick, of The Tennessean, reports the Tennessee Titans will wait until training camp to decide on who will be their primary return man in 2009. Special teams coach Alan Lowry said WR Mark Jones would "get the first shot" at the jobs. Lowry said CB Cortland Finnegan also intrigues him as a return man. S Michael Griffin is another candidate for the jobs. Other candidates include WR Chris C. Davis, WR Lavelle Hawkins, CB Ryan Mouton and CB Jason McCourty.

Jim Wyatt, of The Tennessean, reports Tennessee Titans WR Chris C. Davis has added roughly six pounds to his frame this offseason. Davis said he's worked harder in the weight room and is gaining confidence. He has also left a good impression on his teammates. "Chris Davis is having a good offseason so far. He is a smart receiver, and he understands routes and gets in and out of breaks real well," QB Kerry Collins said. "I sense his maturity too and his understanding of the situation, and I think he has come as well-prepared this offseason as anybody else has."
