The Dallas Cowboys have several assistant coaches without a contract for 2012, and head coach Jason Garrett is hopeful they'll be able to return. Secondary coach Dave Campo, Running game/offensive line coach Hudson Houck, Secondary/safeties coach Brett Maxie, assistant offensive line coach Wesley Phillips, offensive quality control/wide receivers coach Keith O'Quinn and running backs coach Skip Peete are the coaches who are without a deal. "I feel great about our staff and how we've worked really hard, and again, we'll address that at a later time," Garrett said Monday, Jan. 2.

Todd Archer, of The Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys hired Brett Maxie as the team's defensive assistant Monday, Feb. 11. Maxie spent the 2007 season as an assistant secondary coach for the Miami Dolphins. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
