The Sports Network reports the Arizona Diamondbacks reassigned OF Collin Cowgill, SS Mark Hallberg, C Konrad Schmidt, P Matt Torra, P Bryan Shaw, P Wes Roemer, P Kyler Newby and P Thomas Layne to the minors Monday, March 15.

The Arizona Republic reports the Arizona Diamondbacks have disclosed the names of the 17 non-roster invitees to spring camp. Included are Ps T.J. Beam, Josh Ellis, Barry Enright, Kyler Newby, Rodrigo Lopez, Wes Roemer, Bryan Shaw, Matt Torra and Thomas Layne, Cs Carlos Corporan, Sean Coughlin and Konrad Schmidt, IFs Jeff Bailey and Mark Hallberg, OFs Collin Cowgill, Evan Frey and Drew Macias.

Michael Schwartz, of Arizona.Diamondbacks.MLB.com, reports the Arizona Diamondbacks have signed 2007 draft pick P Wes Roemer. Roemer was drafted 50th overall.

Baseball America's Aaron Fitt reports MLB draft prospect P Wes Roemer (finger) has suffered a broken right pinky finger. Roemer, a right-hander, is a preseason first-team All-American at Cal State Fullerton. The team hopes he'll be able to pitch through the injury with treatment.
