San Francisco 49ers president Jed York said he is already pursuing new general manager candidates, and a full-time head coach will not be hired until a new general manager is hired, according to NFL.com. Along with former head coach Mike Singletary, the team also fired pass rush specialist coach Al Harris and inside linebackers coach Vantz Singletary. Candidates for the GM job include former general managers Floyd Reese, Ted Sundquist and Randy Mueller.

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Philadelphia Eagles general manager Tom Heckert is scheduled to meet with Cleveland Browns president Mike Holmgren Tuesday, Jan. 5, regarding the vacant GM position. Other candidates for the Browns' GM position are rumored to be Green Bay Packers director of football operations John Schneider, former general manager Randy Mueller and Tennessee Titans director of professional scouting Lake Dawson.

ESPN.com reports new Miami Dolphins executive vice president of football operations Bill Parcells said during a radio interview Friday, Dec. 21, that he wants to evaluate the team's current situation before making a decision on the future of head coach Cam Cameron and general manager Randy Mueller. "I'm not ready to say anything about that now," Parcells said in the interview. "I have to evaluate the current situation in Miami before making any decisions as to anybody in the future."

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports Miami Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga confirmed there will be an internal analysis of the team when they return to the United States after their Week 8 game. The study could last through the end of the season and help Huizenga, team president Bryan Wiedmeier and Dolphins Enterprises CEO Joe Bailey decide whether or not to keep the current team structure. The study could also help determine if changes need to be made, including hiring or firing coaches, scouts, general manager Randy Mueller and head coach Cam Cameron.
