The Carolina Panthers interviewed New York Giants defensive assistant Al Holcomb for their linebackers coach position Thursday, Jan. 24, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Head coach Ron Rivera has already talked with Auburn coach Bill Davis and Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder about the position.

Ed Thompson, of Scout.com, reports the Atlanta Falcons are among the teams who appear to have Wake Forest S Chip Vaughn high on their list of NFL Draft prospects. Vaughn worked out April 7 in front of a heavy-duty group of team representatives that included general manager Thomas Dimitroff, head coach Mike Smith and defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder.
