Giants | Was Odell Beckham Jr. hurt?

Sun, 22 Feb 2015 23:47:59 -0800

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr., who claimed he played part of the season with two torn hamstrings, had his claim questioned by Giants general manager Jerry Reese. "I don't know about that," Reese said. "I think he's trying to be a hero. I don't think you can play with two [tears in your] hamstring and run fast like that. I think our doctors would've caught that."

Fantasy Tip: Reese went on to say Beckham would not have been played in the Pro Bowl had his hamstrings been both torn. Why Beckham is making this claim is a mystery, but it doesn't remove the fact Beckham had a solid rookie season. He is a strong wide receiver option for 2015 fantasy leagues.

Giants | Victor Cruz looks good

Sat, 21 Feb 2015 07:21:35 -0800

New York Giants WR Victor Cruz (knee) looks good as he continues to recover from a torn right pateller tendon in his knee, according to general manager Jerry Reese. Reese said the Giants would not put all their eggs in that basket heading into next year.

Fantasy Tip: If Cruz can stay healthy next season, there is some upside to owning him in fantasy football, especially with team's trying to slow down Odell Beckham Jr. Still, health will be the big question, and Cruz should be considered a WR2 at this point.
