Updating a previous report, the father of free-agent QB Colt Brennan (Raiders) said the injuries Brennan suffered are not life threatening, reports KHON2.com. Brennan's father said the quarterback suffered several broken ribs, a clavicle injury and some head trauma.

Free-agent QB Colt Brennan (Raiders) was injured in a car crash in Hawaii Friday, Nov. 19, according to KHON2.com. Brennan was a passenger in the vehicle driven by his girlfriend. Both he and his girlfriend were transported to a hospital and are in serious condition.

Updating previous reports, Ryan O'Halloran, of The Washington Times, reports Washington Redskins QB Colt Brennan (hip) actually has a torn left labrum in his hip, which is why he is going to go on Injured Reserve. Although he could potentially practice and play through it, they have decided to have him undergo surgery instead.

Updating a previous report, Jason Reid and Jason La Canfora, of The Washington Post, report the Washington Redskins signed QB Colt Brennan to a four-year deal worth roughly $1.8 million Monday, July 14. Brennan will receive a signing bonus of less than 100,000, according to a source familiar with contract negotiations. Brennan will earn $295,000 this year, $385,000 in his second season, $470,000 in his third year and $555,000 in the fourth year.

Stephen Tsai, of The Honolulu Advertiser, reports University of Hawaii QB Colt Brennan (hip) will undergo surgery Monday, April 7, to repair a slight tear in his right hip. The recovery period is between eight and 12 weeks, after which Brennan will not need any additional medical procedures for the injury. Brennan indicated that he suffered the injury during a Senior Bowl practice in January.

Updating a previous item, Joe Schad, of ESPN.com, reports Hawaii QB Colt Brennan said Monday, Jan. 15, he has declared for the NFL Draft, but will "seriously consider" withdrawing his name Tuesday, Jan. 16. College players have 72 hours to withdraw their names, provided they have not signed with an agent. "In order to stay eligible for the draft, I have to send the paperwork in," Brennan said. "But I need to postpone my decision. I need a little bit more time."
