Denver Broncos CB Quentin Jammer said he would be willing to play at safety if the team asked him to because he believes he can play any defensive back position. "I always considered myself a football player, not really put a label on myself as a corner or a safety," Jammer said. "This is the game of football, and I feel like I can be plugged in anywhere on the defense and play — other than the big hosses up front. Any of the skill positions in the back end I can be plugged in and play. I wanted to come in and help this football team as much as I can."

Jammer signed a one-year deal Wednesday, May 29, close to the veteran minimum of $940,000. He will participate in the team's organized team activities (OTAs) practice Thursday, May 30.

Free-agent CB Quentin Jammer (Chargers) hopes to re-sign with the San Diego Chargers. The veteran defender not yet been identified by new Chargers general manager Tom Telesco as a priority to re-sign. Jammer noted he has spoken with the Chargers and the door for his return is not completely closed.
"I know there was speculation about me retiring. I'm, like, who said that?" Jammer said. "I would never retire. I definitely don't want to go into retirement and then regret retiring and try to play later. I want to play while I still feel great."

He allowed six touchdowns, broke up just eight passes and opposing quarterbacks averaged 10.5 yards per attempt against him.
