New York Jets LB David Harris said the defense will be more aggressive getting to the quarterback than they were the last few seasons. "We're going to do a lot of blitzing and getting after people," Harris said. "There should be a different brand of football than you were used to seeing the last couple of years."

The New York Jets may use the 4-3 defensive alignment more often next season. LB David Harris would be the middle linebacker while LB Demario Davis would be the weakside linebacker. DL Quinton Coples could be used as a defensive end in that alignment.

New York Jets general manager John Idzik will approach a few players about restructuring their contracts. The most likely candidates are LB David Harris (team-high $13 million cap charge), WR Santonio Holmes ($12.5 million), CB Antonio Cromartie ($10.8 million), OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson ($10.7 million) and DT Sione Pouha ($6.2 million). QB Mark Sanchez ($12.9 million) could also be a candidate; however, it doesn't make sense to push his money into future years, considering his tenuous position on the team.

The New York Jets may ask LB David Harris to restructure his contract this offseason in order to create some salary cap space. He is scheduled to make $11 million next season.

LB Bryan Thomas (hamstring) and WR Stephen Hill (hamstring) were both limited in practice and are probable for the team's Week 6 game.
