He received a great opportunity when WR Jordan Shipley (knee) went down with a season-ending injury in Week 2, but he did not capitalize.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Jerome Simpson had 50 catches for 725 yards and four touchdowns in 2011, but he also had nine dropped passes, which was tied for seventh-worst in the NFL. "Of course , Jerome had moments of greatness and moments of what is going on?," offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said. Simpson is a free agent, as is fellow WR Andre Caldwell.

"Andre is a guy that you love to have on your team. He doesn't say much, but he goes out and does his job. If you ask him to go out and block a linebacker, he'll block a linebacker. If you ask him to run a certain route versus a certain coverage, he'll do it without whining or complaining," Palmer said.
