The team is still trying to work out deals with DL Cliff Avril, OT Jeff Backus (biceps), LB Stephen Tulloch, CB Eric Wright and WR Calvin Johnson. Backus is reportedly recovering well from biceps surgery and is expected to be ready for training camp.
