A league source said Russell showed a "big arm" and a "good positive demeanor" but also showed a bit of rust with timing and accuracy of his throws. The Bears already have three quarterbacks on roster in QBs Jay Cutler, Josh McCown and Matt Blanchard. Fantasy Tip: Russell has worked himself back into good shape, but that alone doesn't mean a team will give him a chance. He won't be a fantasy option this year even if he signs with an organization.

Russell wants to sign somewhere where he can sit on the bench and learn from a respected QB. If he can't find a home in the next 30 to 45 days, he'd be open to signing with a team from the Canadian Football League, from where he's also received some inquiries. Fantasy Tip: It's doubtful Russell will have any semblance of fantasy football impact in 2013, but if you're looking for a project in a dynasty league, here's an interesting long-term target with little risk for what'll be a small investment. Of course, the odds of anything happening aren't exactly solid, so stay tuned.
