Davis will receive base salaries of $285,000 in 2007, $360,000 in 2008 and $435,000 in 2009. He also received a $610,000 signing bonus.

Gil Brandt, of NFL.com, reports Florida State LB Buster Davis measured a height of 5-foot-9 1/4 and a weight of 242 pounds at his Pro Day. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.74 seconds and 4.75 seconds. He completed 11 repetitions on the 225-pound bench press, and he stood on the rest of his numbers from the NFL Combine.

During his NFL Combine interview, Florida State LB Buster Davis measured a height of more than 5-9 and a weight of 238 pounds. During his interview, Davis discussed if he felt his 5-9 height had ever been a problem. "I've been this height for a long time. That's just something I had to get used to when I was a little boy. I think the only time I was the tallest person in my class was in third grade. After that, everybody caught me. Height is just who I am. It separates me from everybody else. I'm not your typical 6-2 or 6-3 guy. At the height I am, I get the job done just as good or better than they do," Davis said.
